In today's information-rich era, we process vast amounts of web content daily. Whether for learning, work, or entertainment, efficiently acquiring and processing information is crucial. Monica's PowerUPs are designed to address this challenge. PowerUPs are Monica's innovative AI features, aimed at becoming your capable web assistant, seamlessly integrating into your browsing process.

PowerUPs come in two types: Standard Tools and Mini APPs. Standard Tools are enhanced AI agents that can be fixed in any web scenario, automatically understanding the web content you're browsing, generating AI responses based on it, and helping you efficiently complete various web-related tasks. Mini APPs are interactive web applications created based on Monica's Artifacts feature, allowing you to turn saved artifacts into various useful applications like pomodoro timers, calculators, to-do lists, etc., and add and use these applications on any webpage.

Steps to Create a PowerUP​

1. Identify Your Needs​

Before starting, clarify what tasks you want the PowerUP to help you accomplish. PowerUPs can cover a wide range of function types, such as:

  • Content processing and analysis: Summarizing article points, extracting key information, generating article outlines, analyzing text sentiment
  • Creativity and productivity: Generating social media content, creating illustrations, writing email templates, generating product descriptions
  • Data analysis and visualization: Generating mind maps, creating data report analyses, creating charts, extracting and visualizing web data

2. Choose Creation Method​

Monica offers two ways to create PowerUPs:

  • a) AI-assisted creation (recommended for beginners)
  • b) Manual creation (suitable for experienced users)

3. Set Tool Parameters​

Creating a Standard Tool​

AI-assisted Creation

  1. Start creation process
    • Click "+" in the Monica icon area
    • Or click the "+ New" button in the top right corner of the PowerUP bar interface
  2. Choose tool type: Select "Standard Tool" option in the "New PowerUP" popup
  3. Describe requirements
    • Describe your needs and ideas in detail in the input box
    • Click "Quick Create", Monica will generate a Standard Tool for you
  4. Edit
    • In the "New Tool" interface, review detailed configuration information and make flexible edits
    • If you need to edit detailed configuration information, refer to "Manual Mode"
  5. Complete creation: After confirming, click the "Create" button in the bottom right corner to save

Manual Creation

  1. Start creation process (same as AI-assisted creation)
  2. Choose tool type: Select "Standard Tool" option in the "New PowerUP" popup
  3. Choose creation mode: Slide the "New PowerUP" popup to the bottom, click "Manual Configuration" button
  4. Fill in basic information: Set tool avatar, name, and description
  5. Specify target websites: Choose to use on all websites or only within specified ranges
  6. Choose web content extraction mode: Full page extraction, area selection, or no web content mode
  7. Write prompts: Set operation instructions, guiding AI on how to process information and generate responses
  8. More advanced settings: Additional information collection, preferred model selection, available skill configuration, response language settings, etc.
  9. Publication settings: Choose the public scope of the tool
  10. Multilingual configuration: Select supported languages, one-click translation
  11. Complete creation: After confirming, click the "Create" button in the bottom right corner to save

Creating a Mini APP​

  1. Start creation process
    • Click "+" in the Monica icon area
    • Or click the "+ New" button in the top right corner of the PowerUP bar interface
  2. Choose tool type: Select "Mini APP" option in the "New PowerUP" popup
  3. Fill in creation requirements:
    • Set Mini APP name and description
    • Or choose an existing Mini APP to start secondary creation
  4. Complete creation: After confirming, click the "Save" button in the bottom right corner to save

4. Test and Optimize​

After creation, test your tool on target webpages and adjust and optimize based on actual effects.

5. Publish and Share​

When you're satisfied with the tool's performance, you can publish and share it with others.

Usage and Access​

  • Created Standard Tools will be automatically saved and appear in the "PowerUP Toolbox"
  • You can pin Standard Tools to the Monica icon area for quick access next time
  • For Mini APPs, you can select "Create Artifact" above the chat box on the homepage, then click "Saved Artifacts" to find all your saved artifacts
